On 14th October 30 maths students and 2 lecturers from the university of Greenwich went to Thorpe Park. This was part of our induction programme and new mentoring scheme. Many of us proudly wore our new MathSoc T shirts although they were often covered up with waterproofs. This made us wonder if we would have been better off getting MathSoc hats or cagoules!We had a great time and it helped our new first year students get to know each other and their mentors from the second year. It's 
amazing how well you get to know people when travelling from 0-80mph in under 2 seconds and then being turned upside down at a height of 200ft!
